About Matt Grandone

Matt Grandone is the Director of Training for the Office of Champaign County Clerk Gordy Hulten. He has spent three years in this position assisting in the running of the last six elections. His role as the Director of Training requires him to be knowledgeable about all aspects of the office to ensure quality training and thus quality service is provided to customers.

Matt is an Urbana resident and a graduate of Urbana High School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL where he was a member of the Dean's List, Sigma Chi fraternity and the Varsity Golf Team for two years

Prior to his work for the County Clerk's Office, he spent ten years as an employee of Bloomington-based nonprofit Chestnut Health Systems. He began his career there as a college intern conducting interviews with research participants in various stages of addiction and recovery. Matt finished his tenure managing grants funded by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. These grants allowed agencies to implement a standardized bio-psychosocial assessment used for both diagnosis and research of those presenting with substance use and mental health issues.    

Matt is a graduate of Champaign County's Emerging Community Leaders program. He currently resides in Urbana with his wife Jackie and their two boys, Michael and Ryan.
